Travel around the world at the Oregon Zoo, with more than 2,000 animals. This conservation zoo is renowned for its Asian elephant breeding program.

Portland Farmers Market

Portland Farmers Market is one of the world’s finest markets, and the nation’s largest weekly open-air arts and crafts market. Stroll down rows of unique creations made by locals, and enjoy live music and international food. Located in Waterfront Park, March through December, this is a weekend event you shouldn’t miss.

Oregon Wine Country is a great destination, less than 40 miles from downtown Portland. Plan a day for visiting the tasting rooms of the vineyards and wineries as most are open daily. The scenic drive is worth the trip.

Oregon Coast, less than an hour and half from Portland, is full of magnificent beaches and a variety of small welcoming communities.

Mount Hood/Columbia Gorge is home to Oregon’s highest mountain and waterfall-laced Columbia River Gorge.
